History Of the School
Oyugi Ogango Girls Secondary School was started in the year 1994 by the Late Permanent Secretary (PS) Hezekiah Oyugi Ogango. The total population by then was 55 girls under the able Headship of Mr. Kaunda Ogweno.
The aim of starting the school was to cater for Girl-Child education in the area as there wa non at that time. Upto now the school has equiped hundreds of girls with the skills needed and this has led to improved girl-child education in the area.
The second Principal was the late Mrs. Margaret Racho who took over in 1996 and left in 1999 to Madam Hellen Wanzare who who led the school till 2010. In January,2010, the late Madam Martha Ouma took up the leadership until her untimely demise in 2020. The current principal is Madam Rose A. Adhanja.
The School Management
The school is managed by Board of Management appointed by Ministry of Education.The sponsor is Seventh Day Adventist Church.
